THE VICTORIANS
Meet characters from over 100 years ago, sit up straight, not a
word now, teacher's got a cane! Off to work down the mines, what
about health and safety? If not the mines, what about the factories,
or even domestic service? Washing and mending, dusting and cleaning.
Tea break? What did the ladies wear to make them that shape?
All these questions and more are answered in this fully interactive
workshop.

Programme
This two-hour workshop covers life in Victorian times; A lesson
from a Victorian teacher, working down the mines, being a servant
in a big house and being among the first to see the wonderful new
invention - the motor car.
This drama based workshop helps pupils to get an understanding
of life and conditions in Victorian England . The pupils will be
encouraged, by the two actors, to participate in acting scenes from
history.

All of our workshops are accompanied by teacher's
notes on CD. The CD contains information for teachers and pupils,
Questionnaires, Quizzes, Word games, colouring sheets, suggested
activities and much more.
